Raquel Lemos

Raquel received a Bsc in Biology, research branch, from Universidade de Aveiro. She has over 25 years of professional experience in the diagnosis of genetic diseases in the constitutional (prenatal and postnatal) and hemato-oncological context. She started her professional activity in classical microscopy and in molecular cytogenetics (in situ hybridization). She acquired experience in aCGH, in the analysis and interpretation of copy number variants to detect genomic imbalances in prenatal diagnosis and in context of idiopathic mental retardation, congenital malformations, among others.
She has the title of Specialist in Human Genetics by Ordem dos Biólogos.
